Durantic Core is going open source.

The agent, provisioning, the encrypted fleet mesh and configuration releases, under the AGPL. Run it, read it, extend it. No lock-in on the core.

What's in Durantic Core

The agent

One Go binary per machine. Talks to the control plane over gRPC with mutual TLS.

Provisioning

Power-on to installed OS from OCI images, with kexec and grub-reboot as the safe fallback.

Encrypted fleet mesh

WireGuard + BGP across every site and provider, with NAT traversal and path-quality routing.

Configuration releases

Config bundles as OCI artifacts, official or your own, pinned by digest and converged locally on each machine with masterless Salt.

Control plane and CLI

Self-host the control plane and drive the fleet from its API and CLI.

Licence

Durantic Core is licensed under the AGPL. You can run it, modify it and self-host it for any purpose. If you offer a modified version to others as a network service, you share your changes under the same licence.

Why the core stays open

The machine layer is infrastructure you have to trust: you should be able to read it, audit it and run it without us. Engineers adopt the core for free. We charge for hosting, for support, and for the AI operator, not for the core.

What's paid

  • Durantic Cloud

A hosted control plane for teams that don't want to run one.

  • The reeve

    Early access

An AI operator on top of the fleet. Privileged actions are co-signed by a human with 2FA.

  • Support

A per-machine subscription for self-hosted fleets: SLA, upgrades and an escalation path.
